When it comes to embracing innovation and welcoming brave, talented and inspirational entrepreneurs and business leaders to a country, Malta always leads the way. Currently the spiritual home of the iGaming industry, Malta is now leading the charge to become the preferred destination for the tremendously exciting and innovative Blockchain and Cryptocurrency sector.
Over the years I’ve attended and presented at literally dozens of conferences. Ranging from Retail Tech to Islamic Finance; I’ve never been so excited in advance as I am about the event I am attending next week. As a professional headhunter who has lived through the .com and millennium bug era, I thought I’d pretty much seen it all. But this is a whole new dimension. iGaming Elite, Malta’s number one recruiter across the online gaming and casino sector, are partnering with our sister company, commercial search and selection specialists Nicholls Moisa for arguably the most important conference in Malta so far this year. Myself and Managing Director of Nicholls Moisa, Fran Moisa, will be in attendance throughout the duration of this event.
Next week sees both local and global leaders and innovators from across the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency sector come together over 3 action packed days at the Delta Summit 2018. There is an eclectic, impressive and in some cases heavyweight set of speakers lined up for the event which will run from the 3rd to the 5th October (inclusive) at the Intercontinental Malta. The event will be informative and illuminating. A host of speakers will be present, including the inimitable Dr. Joseph Muscat, Prime Minister of Malta, who will lay out the vision for the future. We will get an insight of where the sector is now and what needs to happen next from the enigmatic founder of Evercoin Exchange, Miko Matsumura.
The speaker I’m most enthused about seeing in the flesh is the challenging futurist and soon to be around best selling author Theo Priestley, an out of the box original thinker with a good dash of cynicism, that I have followed for years on LinkedIn. Theo is always original and often controversial, definitely one to watch. You might want to grab a copy of his upcoming book “Would you follow a Robot”, when it is released. Whatever your area or level of interest in this industry, there is something for everyone here. Speakers from organisations as diverse as the fast growing London, FinTech, Revolut (I’m a huge fan), to Bitcoin trading provider Cubits will be sharing their insight into this thoroughly intoxicating sector. It’s going to be a whole lot of fun, very educational and will provide outstanding networking opportunities, bringing together service providers, solution creators and regulatory and compliance specialists all in one place. I’m certain there will be some heated debate, especially around the subject of Malta’s recently released draft legislation and regulation document.
Fran Moisa and I look forward to meeting and engaging with some already familiar faces and of course some new ones.
